August 1st - 9th Groups 15+ Sun, Aug 1 Depart your country for South Korea Mon, Aug 2 Arrive in Seoul or a nearby city, transfer to lodging, prepare for festivities with your JMJ Youth WYD Guide Tue, Aug 3 City Walking Tour, WYD Opening Mass Wed, Aug 4 Morning catechesis, WYD Youth Festival events Thu, Aug 5 Morning catechesis, Welcoming Ceremonies Fri, Aug 6 Morning catechesis, WYD Youth Festival events, and Via Crucis with the Holy Father Sat, Aug 7 Pilgrimage walk, evening prayer vigil with our Holy Father Sun, Aug 8 Morning Mass with the Pope, pilgrimage walk back to lodging Mon, Aug 9 Depart for home or a post-WYD extension This is the basic WYD itinerary. However, we recommend that groups plan to travel at least one day before and one day after the basic itinerary above, due to the high demand for flights immediately before and after WYD. |
