​9-Day Itinerary

Day 1   Depart for Panama, free evening in Panama City

Day 2    Tour Panama Viejo and Casco Antiguo, Pray at the Santuario Nacional del Corazón de María, and visit the BioMuseo

Day 3    Pray at the Catedral Basilica Santa María La Antigua, visit the Miraflores Visitor Center at the Panama Canal, then enjoy free time
                  and a traditional Panamanian dinner in the evening

Day 4    Take a d​ay trip to the rainforest and visit the Parque Nactional Soberanía and the Gamboa Rainforest Reserve

Day 5    Take a day trip to Colon and Portobelo to explore Panama's Caribbean Coast and pray before the statue of El Cristo Negro, or El
                  Nazareno

Day 6    Depart Panama City for home

Mass will be celebrated daily within the itinerary.

About Panama

Panama Viejo is the site of the first European settlement on the American Pacific Coast. Here visitors will discover historical Panama and see the ruins of the first city of Panama, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Casco Antiguo is the historic downtown district of Panama city. Also known as Casco Viejo, or the "old quarter," this UNESCO World Heritage Site is known for its colorful buildings, religious history, museums, historical ruins, and great food.

The BioMuseo is a museum designed by world-renowned architect Frank Gehry. This unique building tells the story of how the Isthmus of Panama rose from the sea, uniting two continents, separating a vast ocean in two and changing the planet’s biodiversity forever

The Catedral Basilica Santa María La Antigua is Panama City's Metropolitan Cathedral. Construction of this beautiful Renaissance style church began in 1688 and was completed 108 years later in 1796. The church was given the elevated title of Basilica in the year 2014.

The Miraflores Visitor Center is a museum at the Panama Canal. Here visitors can take a tour and marvel at the engineering behind "the eighth wonder of the world." Guests are invited to observe the canal's operation and the movement of ships through its locks.

Visiting Parque Nacional Soberanía and the Gamboa Rainforest Reserve are a must when in Panama! Guests will take a boat tour through the Panama Canal into secret waterways to find hidden islands, and learn about the flora and fauna. Then an aerial tram tour of the Gamboa Rainforest Reserve offers visitors fabulous views of the Chagres River, the Embera indigenous community, and much of the National Park.

Near Coloón on Panama's Caribbean Coast, guests will enjoy a zipline adventure over Lake Gatun and some time to relax at one of Panama's beautiful beaches.

At the Iglesia de San Felipe in Portobelo, pilgrims will have the chance to pray before the statue of El Cristo Negro, or El Nazareno. Several miracles have been attributed to this life-size statue of the Suffering Christ, and people from all over Panama venerate and make pilgrimages to this site.
