BREAKING NEWS: Canonization of Pier Giorgio Frassati to happen during the Jubilee of Youth Week!
Soon-to-be Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati was born on April 6, 1901 in the city of Turin, Italy. After a life of heroic virtue, he succumbed to polio at the age of 24 and died July 4, 1925. In April of 2024, the Vatican announced that Pier Giorgio's canonization was "on the horizon" and in June, Pope Francis said that Frassati would be named a saint "soon." This past July 4th marked the beginning of the Year of Frassati, and July 4th, 2025 will mark 100 years since Pier Giorgio entered into eternal life! Read more about "The Man of the Eight Beatitudes" and his upcoming canonization in the Jubilee year at WorldYouthDay.com.
